The Low Value Purchase System, instituted by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) under Part 4 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, is designed for suppliers offering non-medical goods or services below the specified thresholds in Part 2 of the regulations. This system enables public sector buyers to efficiently procure common goods and services falling below the threshold.

Instead of advertising on Contracts Finder, a buyer may opt to use the Low Value Purchase System to award contracts.

The advantages of utilising this agreement include streamlined access for contracts below the threshold, a user-friendly platform for suppliers to express interest at any time, dynamic filtering options for product/service, SME/VCSE status, and postcode radius.

The Countess of Chester Hospitals are working with other public sector departments and aims to provide a market leading commercial solution for refurbished technology products and related services.

National Highways says it is aiming to build a technology architecture modern and flexible to allow it to quickly create new services or improve the existing ones through re-use of existing services, cutting technical debt to improve operational technology upkeep and “strengthening our in-house architecture function, to provide expert support and build the long-term view of our IT and Operational Technology estates.”
